Latest accomplishment: Being part of the team that signed on Fresh FM, and being instrumental in returning WHFS to the DC airwaves. The legendary DC rock station WHFS was moved to Baltimore back in 2005. After a format change in Baltimore, it became necessary to find WHFS a new home.
On June 10, 2009 we relaunched WHFS on the secondary digital channel of 94.7 as HFS.
You can listen one of two ways: online at whfs.com or by listening on an HD Radio. HFS is one of many new stations across the country that uses HD Radio™ Technology to be able to offer listeners more channels. Listeners with a new HD Radio receiver can find the station by first tuning to 94.7, then tune up one notch to 94.7-2. The upgrade to a digital receiver can cost as little as $79 with products in all categories to include tabletop radios, aftermarket car radios, home entertainment tuners, and more.
Portable HD Radio receivers are available for less than $50 and the Zune HD with HD Radio is available in stores. There are also 13 auto manufacturers engaged to include HD Radio™ receivers in over 70 car models. For more information visit hdradio.com.
